A dynamic economy

The Kingdom of Thailand is ruled by King Rama X. The only South East Asian country to have never been occupied by foreign nations, Thailand was named Siam before 1939. Its rapid growth between 1985 and 1995 allowed Thailand to be counted among the newly industrialised countries. The Land of Smiles is now part of ASEAN and the “Asian Tigers”.

Thailand’s economy is mainly based on the exportation industries of the automobile, agroalimentary and electronics. Tourism is also a very important sector, and it is continuously increasing thanks to an ideal lifestyle for holiday-makers.

The tropical climate, the proximity with the sea and the diversity of landscapes are key natural assets. By taking into account both economic and natural advantages, Thai Property Group made the choice of proposing an extensive panel of properties for sale in Thailand, both for residential or rental use.

Thailand’s main regions

Bangkok, the crossroad of South East Asia

Thailand’s capital city is spread across a huge surface of nearly 1 570km² and houses more than 8 million inhabitants. Thanks to its ideal position and economic might, Bangkok is an ideal departure point to many domestic and international destinations. Its districts have multiple faces : among them, Sukhumvit is home to many bars and restaurants loved by the working expatriates, while Silom houses luxury hostels.

Bangkok properties for sale are made for Thai people as well as foreigners, and represent a dynamic market with many different residential and rental offers.

The islands of the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman sea

Thailand is comprised of many islands in the Southern seas, which are very attractive for tourists thanks to the wonderful landscapes and the ideal climate. They are very accessible from Bangkok or Pattaya and Hua Hin beach resorts, among others.

We can find islands like Koh Samui, Koh Samet or Koh Chang in the Gulf of Thailand, or the famous island of Phuket in the Andaman Sea. Here, one can enjoy incredible landscapes and swim in the translucent waters bordering wild jungles.

And these islands represent a large part of Thailand’s property offers : in those beach resorts developed for tourists, opportunities are numerous in rental and residential investments.

Chiang Mai’s Northern region

700 km from Bangkok, Chiang Mai is the 2nd biggest city of Thailand. Pearl of the Northern regions, it is known for it history and temples. Founded in 1296 along the river Ping, it was once the capital city of the Lanna Kingdom.

Today, Chiang Mai keeps its history and traditions, noticeably with its numerous temples such as the “Wat Phra That Doi Suthep” the most sacred temple in the north, overlooking the city.

Hikers will appreciate the impressive mountains of Chiang Mai, the highest of the country.

Compared to the cities in the south, the region beneficiates from relatively tempered temperatures with an average between 20 and 25°C. Tourists and expatriates are welcome, the city having a dynamic economy.
